FilRight Engineering TPU filament (PolyUrethane)
FilRight Engineering TPU filament makes printing with flexible materials easier than ever. Thermoplastic Poly Urethane (TPU) is a strong and flexible material and has been specially developed to be printed with almost any FDM printer. FilRight Engineering TPU filament can be used for many (semi) professional applications.
FilRight Engineering TPU filament can be used for a multitude of applications. Think of prostheses, dampers, wheels for (remote controlled) cars and insoles for shoes.
A well-known player who uses TPU as material for her products is Adidas. They use it for their Adidas Boost soles.

The properties of FilRight Engineering TPU filament
In order to influence the stiffness and flexibility of the printed object, adjusting the degree of infill and the number of outer layers (walls) can be a solution. In this way a higher or lower Shore hardness can be simulated and FilRight Engineering TPU filament can be used even better.
The ‘flexibility’ of FilRight FLEX and TPU filament
FilRight Designer FLEX has a shore D hardness of 45. This makes FLEX filament slightly more flexible than FilRight Engineering TPU filament with a shore A hardness of 98.
In addition, TPU filament makes it possible to print without a heatbed. However, a heatbed is required for FLEX filament.
